Yard Boy
by Backwoods Boy
Chapter 5
Tiago woke up quickly in the morning, lying on his back. Connor lay half on top of him with his head resting on the older boy's chest and one arm thrown across his stomach.
Tiago gently stroked Connor's hair. Connor stirred, but didn't wake up. Tiago smiled. He was growing very fond of the kid he called Chico . He was supposed to go back to Mexico at the end of the summer, and he didn't want to leave Connor behind.
Carefully, he separated himself from Connor and stood up. He slipped out of the shed. Rather than make further noise with the porta-potty, he stepped behind the shed and relieved himself.
Waking up on his back, it took Connor a few seconds to remember where he was. For a few moments, he watched a spider traverse the ceiling. He didn't notice the gecko until the spider suddenly vanished.
He smiled, recalling the night. Then he looked around for Tiago, who was sitting on a chair, watching with a half-smile on his face. Connor grinned at him.
"What are you doing?"
"Watching you sleep."
"That sounds boring."
"Watching you is never boring, whatever you're doing. Did you have fun last night?"
The grin grew wider. "It was awesome."
Connor sat up, and then flopped down on his back with a groan.
"It hurts to sit."
"Yeah, I forgot to warn you. The pain will go away after a while."
"How long is a while?"
"Considering what we did, probably a day or two."
Connor looked at him with surprise. "What am I supposed to do in the meantime?"
Tiago laughed. "Stand a lot."
Carefully, Connor got to his feet. He put on his soccer shorts, and then stretched.
"Okay, I think I'll live."
Tiago stood up. "Let's get breakfast."
The moment they entered the house, the twins spotted them. They both ran to Connor.
"Chico! Give me a horsey ride!"
"Chico! Will you play with us?"
Tiago laughed. "I guess I don't count for anything anymore."
Juanita, at the kitchen sink, turned her head. "Miguel and Matias! Let Chico have breakfast first! Chico and Tiago, there's bacon and eggs on the stove. Help yourselves."
The twins stood back, silently watching their new playmate. The older boys filled their plates. Tiago sat down across from Ricardo. Connor stood indecisively at the stove.
"Ummm... I think I'll just eat at the counter."
Juanita turned and looked at him appraisingly, then at Tiago, and finally at the twins.
"Miguel and Matias, go to your room... NOW!"
They went. She directed her attention to Tiago.
"How many times did you screw him?"
"Ummm... Two or three."
"Chico?"
"Ummm… I don't know.."
It was a replay of the evening before. Juanita stood with her hands on her hips glaring at Tiago. Connor waited in discomfort, red with embarrassment. Ricardo watched the three of them with amusement.
"Tiago, when are you going to learn some self-restraint? It's Chico's first time, and you screw him all night. What in hell were you thinking of?"
Tiago looked down at his plate in silence. Connor spoke up.
"It's my fault. I kept asking for more."
"No, it's not your fault. You didn't know better. He did. You can sit on the sofa and put your plate on the coffee table. And Tiago, the least you can do is keep him company."
They both went. Sensing the crisis was over, the twins returned. Tiago and Connor ate in silence for a couple of minutes. Still looking at his plate, Tiago spoke.
"I'm sorry. I should have known better."
Connor assumed a thoughtful expression before replying in a deadpan voice.
"Can we do it again after breakfast?"
Tiago gave him a sideways glance to see if he was serious. Connor couldn't keep a straight face. They burst out laughing. Juanita spoke from behind them.
"I heard that. You're both impossible. Tiago, after you're done eating, you and I have work to do."
"On Sunday?"
"Yes, on Sunday. We need to put together a proposal for Mrs. Thomson for the Lockerbie job. We need to do it today so you can do real work tomorrow."
Connor looked at Tiago questioningly. Tiago explained.
"Your mom asked us for a proposal for some landscape work she designed. I did the field work with her a couple of days ago. If we get the contract, we'll have to hire temporary help. I wanted to hire you if you were interested, but Uncle Diego says you gotta be fifteen and have your parents' permission plus a work permit."
Connor was silent for a moment. "I'll be fifteen on Wednesday."
Tiago looked at him with a grin. "No shit?"
Connor grinned back. "No shit. And I'd do it."
Tiago was beaming. "Awesome! I'll talk to Diego. Don't ask your parents until we know for sure."
Ricardo spoke up. "Chico, I'll take you and your bicycle home in the truck. You won't want to ride it for a day or two."
Connor thanked Juanita for dinner and breakfast, and left with Ricardo. As they rode in silence, Connor realized that no one was using his proper name any more. His nickname was becoming permanent.
"Don't forget the sprinkler supplies."
Juanita was teaching, and Tiago was eagerly learning. As Tiago worked, Juanita continued with her household tasks, stopping by occasionally to answer a question or check on his progress. The specialized computer program, linked to their suppliers, helped a lot.
"I think I'm done."
Tiago waited anxiously while she checked his work. She nodded her head.
"Good job, contract specialist. Print it and take it over to Diego for his approval. And take the drawings and your notes in case he wants to check something."
Tiago smiled proudly. "Thanks, Juanita. It's fun learning this part of the business."
"I'll teach you the billing process next. It will be nice to have an assistant."
Tiago ran up the alley and found Diego in his garage repairing tools.
"Here's the proposal for Mrs. Thomson."
Diego smiled at Tiago's enthusiasm. He looked the proposal over, checked a few things against Tiago's reference material, and pronounced it satisfactory.
"Nice work, Tiago. Maybe you're not hopeless after all. Now if I can only get you to wear a shirt."
Tiago laughed. "Good luck, Tio Diego . But I do have something to show I'm not completely hopeless. Chico will be fifteen on Wednesday."
He stopped to let that sink in. Diego smiled.
"And when did you learn that?"
"This morning, after... Never mind."
"You know, when you work for Hernandez Landscaping, you can't have sex with your fellow employees."
Tiago didn't miss a beat. "Then where did Miguel and Matias come from?"
Diego laughed out loud. Then he looked at Tiago's poker face and laughed some more.
"Okay, you win. But you can't screw him on company time."
Tiago grinned. "I can live with that."
"Check with his mother before you offer him the job."
"I'll do that."
"And one more thing. You'll want to work with Connor, but we can't have the two of you working alone. There are things that are too hazardous for either of you. Connor will help me with the regular work. Ricardo will work with you on this project. But it's your project - he'll be your helper and advisor."
"No shit?"
" Sin chingues, sobrino favorito. Now take this back to Juanita so she can submit it."
Juanita faxed the proposal to Thomson Landscape Design, along with a handwritten note from Tiago asking Carolyn to call him, at her convenience, after the proposal had been accepted. Apparently she worked on Sunday too. At four o'clock, she called.
"Good afternoon, Tiago. The proposal looks good, and the contract is yours. What's on your mind?"
"Hi, Carolyn. Thanks for getting us that contract. We really appreciate it."
"You're very welcome. I'm looking forward to working with you. But I suspect you have something else you want to discuss."
"Yes, I do. We're going to need temporary help to do this job, experience not required. I would like to hire Connor if it's okay with you and his father. We can do that once he turns fifteen, with your permission."
There was a pause. "That's an intriguing idea. Connor didn't mention it. Did you run it by him?"
"Yes, and he was interested. I told him not to say anything until I had a chance to speak with you."
"Excellent. The more I think about that idea, the more I like it. I'll talk with Arthur and Connor and get back to you or Juanita as soon as I can. Who'll be in charge of the actual work?"
"Diego assigned that to me, but Ricardo will be there all the time to provide advice and oversight. Most of the time, Connor would be helping Diego with the regular work."
"That sounds like a great plan. And by the way, your grammar and vocabulary are excellent."
"Thank you. I'm trying to be professional."
"You're succeeding very well."
While the grandparents looked after the twins, Tiago celebrated his promotion to contract specialist by taking Ricardo and Juanita to dinner. He chose his favorite restaurant, the Cantina Mexicana, conveniently located in the neighborhood. They all liked the traditional food, and Tiago liked the informality. What the customers wore - or didn't wear - was of no importance.
After they'd ordered, Ricardo looked across the table at Tiago.
"I have to ask. Where did you find the money to take us out? We'd have been happy to treat you."
"You do so much for me, I wanted a chance to show my appreciation. And the money was a tip from a client."
Juanita gave him a sharp look. "A company client?"
Tiago hedged. "Well, you know I get tips from customers when I collect, and I'm allowed to keep them."
"One hundred dollars? Never mind. I don't want to know."
The food arrived, and they ate in silence for a while. Then Ricardo brought up the new project.
"Diego filled me in on the assignments. This will be a good learning experience for you."
"I'm glad you'll be with me. There's no way I could do it on my own."
Ricardo smiled. "Of course not, right now, but if more projects like this come along, you may be managing without my help. Diego and Chico can't do all the regular work alone, and minors can't work without a responsible adult. We'd have to hire another person and change some assignments."
Tiago reflected for a few moments. "I hadn't thought about additional contracts. I hadn't thought about how Chico's age and mine would impact things either. I have a lot to learn."
Juanita spoke up. "You're a fast learner. You'll be onto it in no time at all."
As they were looking at the dessert menu, an older teen approached. Tiago checked him out. With too-perfect shaggy blond hair and a vintage Beach Boys t-shirt, he had the unmistakable appearance of a wannabe surfer. A little on the thin side, Tiago decided, but definitely fuckworthy.
Coming towards Tiago, the wannabe surfer smiled at him and boldly checked him out. As he passed, Juanita stopped him.
"Nick. What a surprise."
"Hi, Juanita. I haven't seen you for a while."
"You've grown since I last saw you. How's your mother?"
"She's doing great. And how are you doing?"
"Quite well. The twins are four now. I think you were in high school the last time I saw you. How time flies. Nick, this is my husband Ricardo and his cousin Tiago. Nick's mother was my obstetrician when I was pregnant with the twins. I got to know her well, and Nick too."
After the greetings were exchanged, Nick started to leave. Tiago spoke up.
"Nick, would you care to join us for dessert? It'd give you a chance to talk more with Juanita."
"Well, I don't want to intrude..."
Juanita took over. "You wouldn't be intruding. Please join us. You can sit next to Tiago."
Over dessert, Nick updated Juanita on his mother, and on his position as administrative assistant to a well-known lawyer. As the discussion expanded to include the yard care business, he put his hand on Tiago's knee. Tiago put his hand over the older boy's and squeezed it gently. As the conversation continued, Nick slowly moved his hand up Tiago's leg, gently stroking it with his fingers.
The check arrived. Tiago's hundred dollars paid the bill, and Ricardo tossed in a twenty for the tip. Ricardo and Juanita stood to leave. Tiago looked up at them.
"I'll walk home a little later."
Juanita gave him a significant look. "Don't be up too late. You have to work in the morning."
As soon as they were gone, Nick put his arm around Tiago's shoulders.
"You must live nearby."
"A few blocks away."
"Do you have your own place?"
"An apartment, of sorts, behind Ricardo and Juanita's home."
Nick squeezed his shoulder. "Want a ride home?"
In the near darkness, Tiago quietly led Nick into his room. By the time he locked the door, put the key in his pocket, and kicked off his beach sandals, Nick was naked. Nick pinned him against the door, kissing him hungrily.
"You're so hot. I can't wait to fuck you."
Tiago pushed against his chest. "Hold your horses, office boy. We gotta negotiate who's gonna do the fucking."
Nick laughed. "Bullshit. You're just a kid. Probably firing blanks with a toy gun. I'll show you how to do it right. You can find another kid to practice on." He scowled. "And I'm not an office boy. I'm an administrative assistant to an important lawyer."
Tiago pushed Nick away and stepped away from the door. As he dropped his cargo shorts, Nick's eyes grew wide.
"Holy shit!"
Now Tiago pushed Nick up against the door, pinning his arms over his head. Though a few years younger, Tiago was as tall and more muscular. His brash self-confidence gave him the psychological edge, and the locked door ensured his home-court advantage. He smiled as he rubbed his pole against Nick's abs.
"Want the Mexican Burrowing Python inside you?"
"Ummm... It's very tempting. But do you know how to use it? It's a dangerous weapon for a little boy to be playing with."
Tiago's smile was now as tight as his grip on Nick's forearms. "Are you trying to piss me off? Don't little boy me, smart ass. I fucked my first virgin-boy when I was thirteen, and I bagged bigger game than you before I was fifteen. That was back when I only had six inches."
"How big is it now?"
"Big enough to deposit sperm in your ass where no man has ever gone before, even your big shot boss."
"How did you know..."
Tiago laughed. "Just a lucky guess."
He kissed Nick with a ferocity that spoke of wild animal lust. Pulling Nick away from the door, he grabbed him by the neck and pushed him face down onto the bed. Before Nick could recover from the surprise, Tiago was sitting on his ass and his wrists were handcuffed behind his back.
"What the fuck?"
Tiago grinned as he reached for his lube. "Relax, office boy. This'll only hurt a little bit."
"That's what the dentist always says."
"I'll only put the head of it in."
"Sure."
"And I won't cum in your ass."
"Liar."
Tiago spread lube liberally in Nick's crack.
"Little boys always tell lies."
Leaning over, he pressed his pole against Nick's pucker.
"Chill out, office boy. Just pretend it's your boss."
"Fucker!"
"You got that right."
With a thrust of his hips, Tiago drove his pole inside. Nick screamed into the pillow as Tiago pressed in balls-deep. Tiago grinned.
"I knew you'd like it."
"Oh, Jesus, it's big!"
"That's just the head. Do you want the rest?"
"Quit being a smart ass. Just fuck me and get it over with."
"Okay. But first let me make you more comfortable."
He unfastened the handcuffs from one of Nick's wrists and snapped it to the bottom rail of the headboard. He snatched a second set from his nightstand drawer and secured Nick's other wrist in the same manner.
"Don't want you to get away, though."
"Where are you getting this stuff? Are you some kind of magician?"
"No, just prepared, like a good little Boy Scout. The fornication merit badge was the first one I earned."
"I think I underestimated you."
"Uh-huh. You're not the first."
As Tiago began to rhythmically screw him, Nick grabbed the headboard uprights tightly and howled into the pillow. Tiago smiled. If he hadn't asserted himself, it would be him howling. It had happened before. Do unto others before they do unto you.
Tiago didn't waste his time. It only took a few minutes. With a grunt of carnal pleasure he made his deposit deep inside. Pulling out, he stood up and unfastened Nick's restraints. Rubbing his wrists, Nick rolled over and glared. Tiago grinned.
"Now, that wasn't so bad, was it? If you wanna stay all night, we can do it again."
Nick was already dressing. "No, thanks. Once was enough."
