Teen
The teenage soul is lost and forsaken
Confused in schoolwork and relationships
Feeling as though the mind has been taken
Hating authority as a slave ship
These bodies stand for blissful ignorance
Loved by friends, preparing for what’s in store
That’s represented in our appearance
Blanketed in everything we adore
Music kills me three minutes at a time
They say what I do now echoes my life
Why do they keep comparing me to slime?
How I’d like to shove down their throats my strife
It’s thought that youth is the time of our lives
I would like to appreciate these vibes
